Said plainly: if you're travelling light and have three hours before your flight, the Elizabeth line is genuinely the sensible choice and we'd tell you so. The car earns its fare when the margin is thin, the bags are real, or you've just come off a four-and-a-half-hour train from Glasgow and have no appetite for two more changes.

A 14:00 long-haul from Terminal 5. Three hours ahead puts you at the terminal by 11:00. That drive lands in the back half of the morning peak, so we allow the top of the range rather than the bottom.
Pickup from Euston: around 09:45–10:00. If your train from Manchester is due in at 09:30, that's a comfortable handover. If it's due at 10:15, we'd tell you honestly that the margin is thin and suggest an earlier service.
