Out of Leyton (E10) the route runs west along the North Circular to Hanger Lane, then the A40 and the A312 to the airport. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the A312, the A40 and the North Circular back east to E10. That is about 24 miles: reckon 65 min off-peak and 100 min when the North Circular is busy.
