By rail it is the Elizabeth line from Bond Street to Liverpool Street and then the Stansted Express. Two trains, and a long walk between them, with cases.

Out of Mayfair (W1) the route runs north up to the Marylebone and Euston Roads, then the A1 and North Circular to the M11. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 and North Circular, the A1 and the Euston Road back to Mayfair. That is about 38 miles: reckon 65 min off-peak and 100 min when the Euston Road and Waterworks Corner is busy.
