Notting Hill has no direct line to Gatwick. By rail it is the Circle or District line to Victoria and then the Gatwick Express, with Victoria's crowds to cross on the way.

Coming back from Gatwick the driver follows the M23 and A23 north, then Battersea Bridge and Kensington back to W11. That is about 29 miles: reckon 70 min off-peak and 105 min when the river crossing and the A23 through Streatham is busy.

Notting Hill spreads north from Notting Hill Gate through the pastel terraces around Portobello Road to Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park. There are many small boutique hotels on Pembridge Square and Pembridge Gardens, and plenty of family homes on the garden squares.
Portobello Road and Westbourne Grove are narrow and busy, especially on Saturdays when the market is on. We agree a pickup point on a side street if your front door is on a market street.
