Out of South Kensington (SW7) the route runs along the Embankment and through the City to the A12, then the North Circular and the M11. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 and A12, the City and the Embankment back to SW7. That is about 42 miles: reckon 75 min off-peak and 110 min when the Embankment and the City is busy.

South Kensington is London's museum quarter, with the Natural History Museum, the V&A and the Science Museum on Exhibition Road, Imperial College and the Royal Albert Hall just to the north, and handsome white terraces around Onslow Square and Thurloe Square.
There are many hotels on the Cromwell Road, Harrington Road and around Gloucester Road. Exhibition Road is partly shared space, so we agree a pickup point the car can reach safely.
