Out of Stanmore (HA7) the route runs the A41 or M1 to the M25 and clockwise round the north to the M11. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows M11 south and the M25 anticlockwise back to Stanmore. That is about 47 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 80 min when the M25 between junctions 21 and 27 is busy.
