Coming back from London City the driver follows the river crossing, Woolwich and Welling back to Bexleyheath. That is about 8 miles: reckon 20 min off-peak and 40 min when Woolwich and the river crossing is busy.

Bexleyheath is Bexley's main town, with the Broadway and its shopping centre, Danson Park and Danson House to the west, William Morris's Red House to the north, and residential streets towards Welling, Barnehurst and Bexley Village.
