The driver takes the A12 straight to the M11 and follows it north to junction 8. It is one of the simplest airport runs in London.
By rail it is the Central line or Elizabeth line to Liverpool Street and then the Stansted Express, which means going into central London and back out.

Out of Stratford (E15 / E20) the route runs straight up the A12 to the M11 and north to junction 8. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 and A12 back to Stratford. That is about 28 miles: reckon 35 min off-peak and 55 min when the A12 at rush hour is busy.
