By rail you would go Stratford (the Central, Jubilee and Elizabeth lines, DLR and Overground) across to Meridian Water (National Rail), then a 10-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is an infrequent service that stops running before the venue does. The taxi is about 25 min, or 40 min when the roads are full, but it is one journey rather than three, and nobody stands up for any of it. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.
The usual line from Stratford is the A11 then the A12 then the A118, then A406 North Circular, then Meridian Way at the end. About 7.9 miles in all - 25 min when it flows, 40 min when it does not.
Stratford pickups take in all of E15, E20. Controlled parking zones and one-way systems are the driver's problem to solve, not yours.
