When England play at Twickenham: the 2026 autumn and the rest of the calendar

Twickenham — officially Allianz Stadium since 2024 — is where England play their home Tests. Autumn 2026 is the first Nations Championship: three England pool matches in November, then a six-match Finals Weekend. Spring brings the Six Nations; the rest of the year adds finals, the Big Game, Red Roses fixtures and concerts.

Nations Championship 2026: England's home Tests + Finals Weekend

Three home Tests, then the Finals: Australia on Sunday 8 November (15:10), Japan on Saturday 14 November (16:40) and New Zealand on Saturday 21 November (14:10), followed by the first Nations Championship Finals Weekend — six fixtures across Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November. The ground holds 82,000 and the marquee dates sell out.

Booking strategy: the November dates are set, and Test-weekend transfer slots go earliest. Finals Weekend spans three days of double-headers, so lock the days you're actually travelling — cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup if plans move.

The Rest of the Calendar: Finals, the Big Game, Red Roses

Beyond the Tests: Allianz Stadium stages one-off showpieces — the Premiership final, cup finals, Harlequins' annual Big Game, England Women (Red Roses) fixtures and stadium concerts. Week-to-week Premiership rugby happens next door at the Stoop, Harlequins' own ground a few minutes' walk away — we drop for both.

Different crowds, same logistics: showpiece days run at full 82,000 scale with Test-style closures; Stoop days are smaller and simpler. Tell us which ground when you book and we set the drop point accordingly.

Six Nations (Feb–Mar): England's home Six Nations games at Allianz Stadium are the spring peak — fixtures are set by the tournament, so book the transfer as soon as your ticket is confirmed.

Match-Day Pubs · Pre-Match Pints & Post-Match Wind-Down

Drop at Twickenham's famous pub cluster — then walk to the ground

Twickenham's match-day drinking is a ritual: the London Road pubs fill hours before kick-off, and the riverside ones trade a longer walk for more room. The Cabbage Patch on London Road is the famous name — the ground itself was nicknamed "the cabbage patch" after the market garden it was built on. Tell us which pub at booking and we drop you at the door instead of the stadium.

Booking a pub stop: put the pub name in the booking notes and we drop you at the door. Walk to the ground when you're ready — 10–18 minutes from all of them — and after full-time the same pubs refill fast, which makes them a calmer return pickup point than the stadium approach.

Post-match wind-down: skip the crush outside the ground and meet your driver at a match-day pub 30–45 minutes after full-time. You've got a pint, the car was booked at a fixed fare, and the return runs straight to Heathrow or central London (or wherever next).

Rugby Clubs & Tours

Group bookings: teams, tour operators, supporters' clubs

Rugby has tribes: club sides travelling as squads, supporters' tours, internationals bringing US/Australian groups through London for a week. We do coordinated pickups for all of them — same hotel or scattered addresses, same stadium entrance, synchronized return if the group is going on together.

Club Teams (10–20 players)

Book as a fleet: 2–3 MPVs or an 8-seater plus saloon. Coordinated pickup times, single drop at the ground or a pre-agreed match-day pub, and a return pickup with a buffer for celebrations. The whole day is quoted as one package, so the squad cost is known upfront.

Process: Email or WhatsApp with: squad size, hotel address, match date/time, pub preference if applicable, whether return is immediate or post-celebration. We provide a group quote, accept payment from the tour organizer or the club, and confirm driver names + vehicle details 48 hours before.

Supporters' Tours (30–50+ people, mixed accommodation)

Distributed pickup: Passengers across 3–5 hotels get assigned rides (3–4 per vehicle). Staggered departure times converge at the stadium 45 min before kickoff. Return is coordinated at a match-day pub 30 min post-match, so the group can debrief together before heading to hotels or onwards.

Cost control: one package price, so tour operators can bundle it into their own costs. We invoice the tour company once; passengers don't handle money at the ground.

Internationals & US/Aussie Tours (50–100 people, tight coordination)

Multi-day logistics: Tour arrives Wed, matches Sat & Sun, departs Mon. We're Heathrow → Hotel (pickup as distributed fleet), Hotel → Stadium (concentrated), Stadium → Pub (post-match), Pub → Heathrow (return). Pricing is a 4-leg package quoted to the tour operator by Thursday of the week before.

Backup plan: If match times slip or traffic bites, we reroute dynamically. One WhatsApp from the group leader and the fleet regroups.

Group bookings: from 3 vehicles we plan the day as one coordinated package; smaller parties simply book standard vehicles. Contact us for a quote: support@getlondontransfer.co.uk or WhatsApp +44 20 8888 9988.

Straight Answers

Heathrow to Twickenham: the questions

How much is a taxi from Heathrow to Twickenham Stadium?

From £94 (saloon, up to 4), £123 (MPV, up to 6) and £139 (8 seater, up to 7). Fixed fare to the stadium approach or a match-day pub. Event-day closures are priced in; no event surcharge. 30% deposit, balance on the day; free cancellation 24 hours before.

How long does Heathrow to Twickenham take?

28–35 minutes from Terminal 5, 30–38 from Terminals 2/3/4. Event-day closures and one-way systems around the ground add 5–8 minutes before kick-off. All fares include that buffer; you're not charged extra for it.

Can I get dropped at a match-day pub instead of the stadium?

Yes. Name it in the booking notes — The Cabbage Patch or The William Webb Ellis on London Road, The Eel Pie in the old town, The Barmy Arms on the river — and we drop you at the door. All are a 10–18 minute walk from the ground, and after the match the same pub is the easiest return pickup point.

Can you pick me up after the match?

Yes. Pre-book the return with the outbound and save 10%. We agree a meeting point in advance — a match-day pub is usually calmer than the stadium approach — and time the pickup after full-time. The fare was fixed at booking, so post-Test surge pricing never applies.

Do you do group bookings for rugby clubs and tours?

Yes. Clubs, supporters' tours and international groups: 3+ vehicles coordinated for same-time pickup, single stadium drop, and synchronized return. Priced as one package. Email or WhatsApp with squad size, hotel, match date and we quote the full package.

What if my flight is delayed?

Call or WhatsApp immediately. We track the flight, so the pickup slides with a late landing at no extra cost — and if kick-off has gone, we can drop you at a match-day pub to catch the rest. Cancellations follow the standard policy: free up to 24 hours before pickup, 50% back up to 12 hours before.
