By rail you would go Bayswater (the District and Circle lines) across to Marble Arch (the Central line), then a 10-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that which gate you leave by decides how far you walk. Door to door by road is about 10 min, or 15 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. Two people with hand luggage should take the train. Three or more, or anyone with a case, and the fixed fare splits better than the tickets do.
From Bayswater it is barely a journey on paper - A40 Westway, then Bayswater Road and you are there. Park Lane and West Carriage Drive close around the event, so the meeting point is agreed by gate: Marble Arch, Lancaster Gate or Hyde Park Corner. What the fixed fare buys you is a driver who already knows which side of the closure to sit on.
Bayswater is dense, one-way and camera-enforced. The driver texts a workable standing point in W2 instead of guessing, which is the difference between a two-minute wait and a fine.
