By car the driver heads south on the A404 to the M4 at junction 8/9 and east to junction 4b.
By rail it is the branch line to Maidenhead, then the Elizabeth line with a change at Hayes & Harlington.
By public transport: Marlow branch to Maidenhead, then the Elizabeth line via Hayes & Harlington, about 70–90 min. The catch is two changes with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 25 min, or 40 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Marlow (SL7) the route runs south on the A404 to the M4 at junction 8/9 and east to junction 4b. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the M4 and the A404 back to Marlow. That is about 20 miles: reckon 25 min off-peak and 40 min when the M4 between junctions 8 and 4b is busy.
