By car the driver heads east through Datchet and Colnbrook to the airport.
By public transport it is a train to Slough and then the Elizabeth line with a change at Hayes & Harlington, or a local bus.
By public transport: Train to Slough, then onward to Heathrow, about 45–65 min. The catch is two legs with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 15 min, or 30 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Windsor (SL4) the route runs east through Datchet and Colnbrook to the airport. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows Colnbrook and Datchet back to Windsor. That is about 10 miles: reckon 15 min off-peak and 30 min when Colnbrook is busy.

Colnbrook is the stretch to watch. On a clear run it is 15 minutes, so leave a margin on weekday mornings.
