The public-transport version starts at Lewisham (Southeastern and the DLR) and finishes at Wembley Park (Metropolitan and Jubilee), with a 12-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that Olympic Way is queue-managed after full time and the walk is uphill. The taxi is about 40 min, or 1h 15m when the roads are full, but it is one journey rather than three, and nobody stands up for any of it. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.
