Out of Leyton (E10) the route runs up to the North Circular and onto the M11. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 and the North Circular back down to E10. That is about 28 miles: reckon 40 min off-peak and 70 min when the North Circular to the M11 is busy.

Leyton runs along Leyton High Road from the Olympic Park edge past Brisbane Road to Bakers Arms, with the cafés of Francis Road, Victorian terraces and Leyton Marshes and the Lee Valley on its western side.
