The public-transport version starts at Green Park (the Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria lines) and finishes at Fulham Broadway (the District line), with a 8-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the station is one-in-one-out after big games. Door to door by road is about 20 min, or 30 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. Two people with hand luggage should take the train. Three or more, or anyone with a case, and the fixed fare splits better than the tickets do.

If you were thinking of driving yourself: Stamford Bridge sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Pre-booked both ways, none of that is your problem.
