The A40 Westway starts on the edge of Notting Hill, so the driver can be on a fast road within minutes. From there it is the North Circular to Staples Corner and the M1 to junction 10.
By rail you would take the Circle or Hammersmith & City line to King's Cross St Pancras, Thameslink to Luton Airport Parkway and then the DART shuttle.

Coming back from Luton the driver follows the M1 south to Staples Corner, the North Circular and the Westway to W11. That is about 31 miles: reckon 50 min off-peak and 80 min when the North Circular around Hanger Lane is busy.

Notting Hill spreads north from Notting Hill Gate through the pastel terraces around Portobello Road to Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park. There are many small boutique hotels on Pembridge Square and Pembridge Gardens, and plenty of family homes on the garden squares.
Portobello Road and Westbourne Grove are narrow and busy, especially on Saturdays when the market is on. We agree a pickup point on a side street if your front door is on a market street.
