By rail you would go Turnham Green (the District and Piccadilly lines) across to Hammersmith (District, Piccadilly and Circle), then a 3-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is genuinely close, so rail is a fair option on this one. Door to door by road is about 15 min, or 25 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
From the W4 streets the route runs via the A4 then the A406 then the A316, finishing on A4 Hammersmith flyover, then Queen Caroline Street. Roughly 3.0 miles, and the timing swings with the hour rather than the route: 15 min clear, 25 min loaded.
