The catch is changing trains in central London with cases. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 55 min, or 85 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Epsom (KT17 to KT19) the route runs west on the M25 from junction 9, past Heathrow to junction 21, then up the M1. Coming back from Luton the driver follows the M1 and the M25 back to Epsom. That is about 47 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 85 min when the M25 past Heathrow is busy.
