ExCeL is more than a kilometre end to end. Choose the West entrance (Custom House, Elizabeth line end) or the East entrance (Prince Regent DLR end) when you book, or simply give your hall number. The driver texts the exact spot and car registration, and you text back when you are walking out. Staying at Aloft, Novotel, DoubleTree, Sunborn or another ExCeL hotel? We collect from the hotel door instead.
From the terminals the driver takes the M4 and A4 into town, then either the Embankment, Limehouse Link and A13, or the A406 North Circular and A13 when the centre is jammed, finishing on the A1020 to the Western Gateway drop-off. On Monday mornings and show build-up days the North Circular option is often faster; the driver picks on the live traffic. (in reverse). The driver checks live traffic before setting off and builds in a buffer for your flight time.
The Elizabeth line runs from Heathrow towards Abbey Wood through Custom House, the station at ExCeL's west entrance, in about an hour. It is good value for one person with a cabin bag. With a big case, sample kit, a family or a team of colleagues, the door-to-door car is simpler and the fixed fare splits well.
