By rail you would go Ilford (the Elizabeth line) across to Alexandra Palace (National Rail), then a 20-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is a steep uphill walk unless you wait for the shuttle. The taxi is about 30 min, or 55 min when the roads are full, but it is one journey rather than three, and nobody stands up for any of it. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
From the IG1, IG2, IG3, IG4, IG5, IG6 streets the route runs via the A12 then the A118 then the A406, finishing on A406 North Circular, then Bounds Green Road. Roughly 12.5 miles, and the timing swings with the hour rather than the route: 30 min clear, 55 min loaded.
Ilford pickups take in all of IG1, IG2, IG3, IG4, IG5, IG6. Controlled parking zones and one-way systems are the driver's problem to solve, not yours.
