By rail you would go South Kensington (the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines) across to Marble Arch (the Central line), then a 10-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that which gate you leave by decides how far you walk. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 10 min, or 15 min when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
