By rail you would go Aldgate (Circle and Metropolitan) across to Fulham Broadway (the District line), then a 8-minute walk at the far end. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.

If you were thinking of driving yourself: Stamford Bridge sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Pre-booked both ways, none of that is your problem.
