By car the driver follows the Embankment to Westminster, heads through Knightsbridge and along the Cromwell Road to the A4 and M4.

By public transport: Circle line to Paddington, then the Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line, about 55–70 min. The catch is a slow Tube ride and a change at Paddington. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 55 min, or 90 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Cannon Street (EC4N) the route runs along the Embankment to Westminster, through Knightsbridge and along the Cromwell Road to the A4 and M4. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the M4, the A4 and the Cromwell Road, then the Embankment back to Cannon Street. That is about 17 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 90 min when the Embankment and the Cromwell Road is busy.
