By rail it is the Overground from Dalston Junction to Whitechapel and then the Elizabeth line direct to Heathrow, one change.
By car the driver heads west through Islington, along the Euston and Marylebone Roads to the Westway, then out on the A40 and down the A312.
By public transport: Overground to Whitechapel, then the Elizabeth line to Heathrow, about 60–75 min. The catch is a change at Whitechapel with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 60 min, or 95 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.

Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the A312, the A40 and the Westway, then the Euston Road and Islington back to E8. That is about 20 miles: reckon 60 min off-peak and 95 min when Islington, the Euston Road and the Westway is busy.
