Heathrow is the airport most Stamford Hill families use for Tel Aviv, with El Al and British Airways both flying the route, and it is also the main gateway for New York. The catch is getting there: the Tube means a change at Seven Sisters or Finsbury Park, then a long ride with cases and children on the Piccadilly or Elizabeth line.
A pre-booked car goes from your front door along Amhurst Park and the A406 North Circular to the A40 and the M4, or across the A501 when the North Circular is heavy. The fare is fixed before you leave, so a slow Hanger Lane costs time, not money.
By public transport: Tube/Overground from Stamford Hill (Overground), changing to the Elizabeth line or Piccadilly line, about 75–110 min. The catch is at least one change, stairs and crowded trains with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 55 min, or 90 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.

Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows M4 and A40 east, then the A406 or A501 back to Stamford Hill. That is about 21 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 90 min when the A406 and the A40 Westway is busy.
