By rail it is the Overground from Wapping to Whitechapel and then the Elizabeth line to Heathrow, one change at a busy interchange.
By car the driver follows the Highway to Tower Hill, runs along the Embankment and heads out on the Cromwell Road and M4.
By public transport: Overground from Wapping to Whitechapel, then the Elizabeth line to Heathrow, about 60–75 min. The catch is stairs at Wapping and a change at Whitechapel. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 55 min, or 85 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Wapping (E1W) the route runs along the Highway to Tower Hill, the Embankment and the Cromwell Road, then the A4 and M4. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the M4 and Cromwell Road, the Embankment and the Highway back to Wapping. That is about 20 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 85 min when the Embankment and the Cromwell Road is busy.

Wapping runs along the north bank of the Thames from St Katharine Docks to Shadwell Basin, with converted tea and spice warehouses on Wapping High Street, new riverside apartments, and historic pubs such as the Prospect of Whitby.
Wapping High Street is narrow and cobbled in places. The driver comes to your building entrance, and for gated developments we will ask for access notes.
