By car the driver heads down to the Harrow Road, joins the A40 Westway and follows it west, dropping down the A312 to the airport without touching central London.
By rail it is the Bakerloo line from Kilburn Park to Paddington and then the Heathrow Express or the Elizabeth line.

Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the A312 and the A40, then the Harrow Road back up to NW6. That is about 13 miles: reckon 35 min off-peak and 60 min when the A40 at Hanger Lane is busy.
