The public-transport version starts at South Kensington (District, Circle and Piccadilly) and finishes at Kensington (Olympia) (District and the Overground), with a 2-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the District service to Olympia is sparse outside event days. The taxi is about 5 min, or 10 min when the roads are full, but it is one journey rather than three, and nobody stands up for any of it. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.

Hammersmith Road is a red route at the venue frontage, so set down and pick up happen on Olympia Way or Maclise Road.
