The Circle line runs from High Street Kensington all the way round to Liverpool Street, where you pick up the Stansted Express. It avoids a change on the Tube, but the Circle line is slow and the Stansted Express platforms are at the far end of the station.
By car the driver heads along the Marylebone and Euston Roads, north on the A1 to the North Circular, and then straight up the M11 to junction 8.
By public transport: Circle line from High Street Kensington to Liverpool Street, then the Stansted Express, about 90–110 min. The catch is a long Tube ride and a walk across Liverpool Street with cases. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 75 min, or 110 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Kensington (W8) the route runs north-east along the Marylebone and Euston Roads, up the A1 to the North Circular and the M11. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 and A406, then the Euston and Marylebone Roads back to W8. That is about 42 miles: reckon 75 min off-peak and 110 min when the Euston Road and Waterworks Corner on the A406 is busy.

Stansted flights are often very early. A 06:00 departure means a pickup around 03:15 from W8, when the roads are clear and the drive is at the quick end of the range.
