By public transport it is about 40 minutes from Epping station to London Liverpool Street, then the Stansted Express.
By public transport: Train to Liverpool Street, then the Stansted Express, about 90–110 min. The catch is a change in London with all your luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 25 min, or 35 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Epping (CM16) the route runs onto the M11 at junction 7 and north to junction 8 for the airport. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 back to junction 7 and Epping. That is about 20 miles: reckon 25 min off-peak and 35 min when the M11 at junction 8 is busy.
Stansted has one terminal. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name board once you have cleared baggage reclaim.
Landing late or early makes no difference: the driver follows the real landing time at Stansted and takes you straight home to Epping.
The M11 at junction 8 is where delays usually happen. Early-morning runs are quicker; in rush hour allow the full 35 minutes.
