Out of Chelmsford (CM1 to CM3) the route runs north on the A130 to the A120, then west to the airport. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the A120 and the A130 back to Chelmsford. That is about 22 miles: reckon 30 min off-peak and 45 min when the A120 near Braintree is busy.
Stansted has one terminal. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name board once you have cleared baggage reclaim.
Landing late or early makes no difference: the driver follows the real landing time at Stansted and takes you straight home to Chelmsford.
The A120 near Braintree is where delays usually happen. Early-morning runs are quicker; in rush hour allow the full 45 minutes.
