By rail the Stansted Express calls at Harlow Town and runs direct to Stansted Airport in about 20 minutes.
By public transport: Stansted Express from Harlow Town, about 20–30 min. The catch is getting to the station with your bags. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 20 min, or 30 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Harlow (CM17 to CM20) the route runs onto the M11 at junction 7 and north to junction 8 for the airport. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 back to junction 7 and Harlow. That is about 15 miles: reckon 20 min off-peak and 30 min when the M11 at junction 8 is busy.
