By rail it is about 40 minutes from Epping station to London Liverpool Street, then the Elizabeth line direct to Heathrow.
By public transport: Train to Liverpool Street, then the Elizabeth line direct to Heathrow, about 90–110 min. The catch is a change in London with all your luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 50 min, or 80 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Epping (CM16) the route runs onto the M25 at junction 26 and anticlockwise to junction 14. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the M25 back to junction 26 and Epping. That is about 45 miles: reckon 50 min off-peak and 80 min when the M25 between the A1 and the M40 is busy.
