By rail the Elizabeth line runs from Brentwood right across London, with a change for the Heathrow branch.
By public transport: Elizabeth line across London to Heathrow, about 95–115 min. The catch is a very long ride with luggage. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 55 min, or 85 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Brentwood (CM13 to CM15) the route runs onto the M25 at junction 28 and anticlockwise round the north of London to junction 14. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the M25 back to junction 28 and Brentwood. That is about 45 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 85 min when the M25 between the M11 and the M40 is busy.
