By rail the Jubilee line runs direct from Neasden to Canning Town, where the DLR goes on to the airport.
By public transport: Jubilee line to Canning Town, then the DLR, about 50–60 min. The catch is a change at Canning Town. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 45 min, or 75 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Neasden (NW10) the route runs east along the North Circular to Beckton, then the A13 to Silvertown. Coming back from London City the driver follows the A13 and the North Circular back west to Neasden. Neasden is best known for the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, with the Jubilee line station and Neasden Lane at its centre, Gladstone Park and Dollis Hill to the south-east and the Welsh Harp reservoir to the north.
