Event & venue transfers
Around 4.2 miles door to door, 15 min when the roads are behaving. From £40, locked at booking, with no meter running and no surge applied.
A taxi from Vauxhall to BST Hyde Park is £40 in a saloon, £50 in a 6-seat MPV and £55 in an 8-seater. It is about 4.2 miles and 15 min off-peak, or 30 min in traffic. The fare is fixed at the moment you book and covers tolls, the driver's waiting time and your luggage.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Fixed fare |
|---|---|---|
| Saloon | up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases | from £40 |
| MPV | up to 6 passengers, 4 large cases | from £50 |
| 8-seater | up to 7 passengers, 7 large cases | from £55 |
Per vehicle, not per person. Tolls, congestion and crossing charges are already inside the price, and it does not change on the day.
The public-transport version starts at Vauxhall (the Victoria line) and finishes at Marble Arch (the Central line), with a 10-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that which gate you leave by decides how far you walk. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 15 min, or 30 min when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. Two people with hand luggage should take the train. Three or more, or anyone with a case, and the fixed fare splits better than the tickets do.
The usual line from Vauxhall is the A3036 then the A202, then A40 Westway, then Bayswater Road at the end. About 4.2 miles in all - 15 min when it flows, 30 min when it does not.
Any address across Vauxhall works, SW8 included, at whatever hour the South London traffic is doing its worst.
Marble Arch or Lancaster Gate, depending on which gate you leave by - Park Lane is closed to waiting traffic. Park Lane and West Carriage Drive close around the event, so the meeting point is agreed by gate: Marble Arch, Lancaster Gate or Hyde Park Corner. Your driver sends the exact standing point and the registration before they set off, so you are not circling a car park looking for a number plate.
Address: Hyde Park, Westminster, W2 2UH.
Parking at BST Hyde Park is limited and the surrounding streets are metered or permit-only, so self-driving usually costs more in time than the fare saves. Being dropped at the door and collected at an agreed point removes the whole problem.
Doors are usually an hour before the festival. Working back, that means leaving Vauxhall around 30 min plus that hour on a busy night - and booking the return at the same time, because the road out is slower than the road in.
£40 in a saloon, £50 in a 6-seat MPV and £55 in an 8-seater. That is the fixed price, agreed at booking.
Door to door the car is about 15 min off-peak. The rail alternative is Vauxhall to Marble Arch plus the walk, which is competitive going out and considerably slower coming back.
Marble Arch or Lancaster Gate, depending on which gate you leave by - Park Lane is closed to waiting traffic. You get the exact point and the registration by text beforehand.
Card, bank transfer or a business account, before or after the journey. A VAT receipt is issued either way.
The driver waits. We watch venue finish times rather than working to a fixed clock, so a late curtain does not leave you stranded or cost you extra.
No. The fare is fixed when you book. Traffic, tolls and the hour are our problem, not a line on your bill.
Yes, and it is the leg worth booking. The driver is in position before you come out instead of you joining the queue that forms the moment it ends.
Fares are fixed at booking and shown per vehicle. Distances and journey times are approximate and vary with traffic and the exact pickup address. Page reviewed 7 September 2026.
