The catch is that Olympic Way is queue-managed after full time and the walk is uphill. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 45 min, or 1h 20m when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. Two people with hand luggage should take the train. Pre-booked both ways, none of that is your problem.
