The public-transport version starts at Bermondsey (the Jubilee line) and finishes at North Greenwich (the Jubilee line), with a 5-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the Jubilee platforms are a crush for 40 minutes after a show empties. The taxi is about 20 min, or 35 min when the roads are full, but it is one journey rather than three, and nobody stands up for any of it. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.
From the SE1, SE16 streets the route runs via the A200 then the A2206, finishing on A102 Blackwall Tunnel Approach, then Millennium Way. Roughly 5.2 miles, and the timing swings with the hour rather than the route: 20 min clear, 35 min loaded.
Pickups in Bermondsey land inside the Congestion Charge zone, which is already in the price - and on SE1, SE16 the driver will name a legal stopping point rather than idle on a red route.
Private hire pickup is next to Car Park 3, past the Tesco on Millennium Way - not the main Entrance A forecourt, which is coach and black-cab only. The Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels are free between 22:00 and 06:00, so a return leg after a late finish costs the same as the outbound. Your driver sends the exact standing point and the registration before they set off, so you are not circling a car park looking for a number plate.

If you were thinking of driving yourself: The O2 Arena sits inside a matchday or event-day controlled parking zone, on-site spaces are pre-book only and go early, and the residential streets around it are permit-holders only with active enforcement. Pre-booked both ways, none of that is your problem.
Doors are usually an hour before the gig. Working back, that means leaving Bermondsey around 35 min plus that hour on a busy night - and booking the return at the same time, because the road out is slower than the road in.
