By rail you would go Sloane Square (the District and Circle lines) across to South Kensington (District, Circle and Piccadilly), then a 12-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that it is a pleasant walk in daylight and much less so leaving late. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 10 min, or 15 min when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot.
