The public-transport version starts at Earl's Court (the District and Piccadilly lines) and finishes at Kensington (Olympia) (District and the Overground), with a 2-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the District service to Olympia is sparse outside event days. Door to door by road is about 5 min, or 10 min when the roads are full, with no changes, no stairs and no queue at the barrier. If you are travelling light and early, the train usually wins on price. If you are in a group, carrying anything, or leaving after an event, the car wins on everything else.
From Earls Court it is barely a journey on paper - A4 then A315 Hammersmith Road and you are there. Hammersmith Road is a red route at the venue frontage, so set down and pick up happen on Olympia Way or Maclise Road. What the fixed fare buys you is a driver who already knows which side of the closure to sit on.
