The driver heads up the Archway Road, joins the North Circular east and takes the M11 to junction 8. It is one of the quickest Stansted runs from north London.
By rail it is the Northern line to Moorgate, a walk to Liverpool Street and the Stansted Express, or a bus to Tottenham Hale for the Stansted Express.
By public transport: Bus to Tottenham Hale, then the Stansted Express, about 60–80 min. The catch is a bus with luggage and a busy train. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 50 min, or 75 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Highgate (N6) the route runs up the Archway Road to the North Circular and east to the M11. Coming back from Stansted the driver follows the M11 and North Circular back to the Archway Road. That is about 32 miles: reckon 50 min off-peak and 75 min when Waterworks Corner on the A406 is busy.
