Out of Highgate (N6) the route runs south through Archway, Holloway and King's Cross, over Blackfriars Bridge and down the A23 to the M23. Coming back from Gatwick the driver follows the M23 and A23 north, Blackfriars Bridge and Holloway back to Highgate. That is about 35 miles: reckon 80 min off-peak and 115 min when Holloway Road, the river crossing and Streatham is busy.
