Thameslink runs direct from St Pancras to Luton Airport Parkway, then the DART shuttle takes you to the terminal. It is quick and simple for one traveller.
By car the driver heads through Camden to the Finchley Road and joins the M1 for the run to junction 10, dropping you at the terminal door.

Out of King's Cross (N1C / WC1) the route runs north through Camden to the Finchley Road and the M1. Coming back from Luton the driver follows the M1 and Finchley Road, then Camden back to King's Cross. That is about 31 miles: reckon 50 min off-peak and 75 min when Camden Town and Brent Cross is busy.
