By rail you would go Romford (the Elizabeth line and London Overground) across to Stratford (Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth and the DLR), then a 18-minute walk at the far end. The catch is that the walk across the park is long and fully exposed to weather. A car does the whole thing door to door in about 30 min, or 50 min when the roads are full - and it does it with your bags in the boot. It is a fair fight on the way there. On the way back, when several thousand people want the same platform, it stops being one.
