The Edgware Road runs along the eastern edge of Bayswater, so the driver can head north straight away to Staples Corner and the M1.

Out of Bayswater (W2) the route runs up the Edgware Road to Staples Corner and the M1. Coming back from Luton the driver follows the M1 to Staples Corner and down the Edgware Road. That is about 32 miles: reckon 50 min off-peak and 80 min when the Edgware Road and Brent Cross is busy.

Bayswater runs along the north side of Kensington Gardens, from Lancaster Gate to Notting Hill Gate, with Queensway and Westbourne Grove as its busy centre.
