Maida Vale is a quiet residential area of wide avenues and red-brick mansion blocks running north from Little Venice and the Regent's Canal. Elgin Avenue, Randolph Avenue and Sutherland Avenue are lined with flats, and there are small shops on Clifton Road and Formosa Street.
