Coming back from London City the driver follows the Limehouse Link, the Highway and the Embankment back to Charing Cross. That is about 9 miles: reckon 30 min off-peak and 50 min when the Embankment and the City is busy.

Charing Cross sits on the Strand beside Trafalgar Square, with Southeastern trains to Kent and East Sussex, the Northern and Bakerloo lines below, and Embankment station and the river just behind.
