By Tube it is the District line from Fulham Broadway or Parsons Green to Earl's Court and then the Piccadilly line to Heathrow. It is one change, but the Piccadilly line is slow and busy with luggage.
By car the driver heads up to the Talgarth Road and straight out along the A4 and M4 to your terminal.
By public transport: District line to Earl's Court, then the Piccadilly line to Heathrow, about 55–70 min. The catch is a change at Earl's Court and a slow Piccadilly line ride. A car does the whole trip door to door in about 35 min, or 55 min when the roads are full, with your bags in the boot.
Out of Fulham (SW6) the route runs up to the A4 Talgarth Road and out along the M4. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the M4 and A4 back to the Talgarth Road and down into SW6. That is about 13 miles: reckon 35 min off-peak and 55 min when the Hogarth Roundabout and the M4 at Chiswick is busy.
