Stratford is on the Elizabeth line, which crosses central London to Heathrow. Depending on the train, you may need to change on the way, and it is a long ride with luggage.

Out of Stratford (E15 / E20) the route runs north on the A12 to the North Circular, west to the A40 and on to the A312 and Heathrow. Coming back from Heathrow the driver follows the A312 and A40, then the North Circular and the A12 back to Stratford. That is about 23 miles: reckon 55 min off-peak and 90 min when the North Circular between Waterworks Corner and Hanger Lane is busy.
